We’ve partnered with 350.org, Fight Inequality Alliance, and Mobilize Foundation to convene an inclusive, alternative space alongside the G20 meetings in South Africa this November.

At the heart of this is an influencer-led campaign, “We, the 99%,” calling people to sign a People’s Manifesto and identify as the 99%.
We The 99% is another step in the movement for global solidarity, building people power to confront economic injustice and reclaim democracy. As world leaders gather for the G20 Summit in South Africa in November 2025, We The 99% are organizing a three-day People’s Summit that will bring together over 10,000 activists, organizers, artists, and community members from across the Global South and beyond.
The summit is about resisting elite-driven agendas AND showcasing the alternatives already being built by communities worldwide. Through storytelling, cultural celebration, and collective action, we’re co-creating a People’s Manifesto that centres the voices of those most affected by austerity, exploitation, and repression.
The World We Are Building
In a world where the 1% controls the narrative to maintain power, we, the 99%, reclaim culture as resistance, as memory, as imagination. We The 99% are the storytellers, artists, educators, and makers who shape what feels possible. Culture is Power. Culture is how we fight. Culture is how we survive. Culture is how we thrive.
We The 99% is not merely resisting the present. We are imagining and constructing a future of liberation.
